Located Outside the United States
The TechSoup United States (U.S.) website, www.techsoup.org, serves organizations within the United States. However, the TechSoup Global Network is international!
Find the TechSoup website serving the country or region where your offices are incorporated.
Organizations with branches or offices outside of the U.S. may not transfer products or services to a non-U.S. branch or office for full-time use. Branches or offices outside of the U.S. must request offers from the TechSoup Global Network partner in that country. Learn more about the terms of use for offices and staff located outside the United States (U.S.).
Eligibility Requirements
To be eligible for TechSoup and our corporate partners’ nonprofit programs, your organization must be recognized as a 501(c)(3) Public Charity by the IRS. An organization may also be eligible under an IRS group exemption status, as is the case with certain national service organizations or church denominations that list their subordinate members.
While the IRS does provide tax benefits for other types of nonprofits (see list here) and religious organizations (see Publication 1828, Tax Guide for Churches and Religious Organizations), these other types of organization are not currently eligible for TechSoup or our corporate partners' nonprofit programs.
Learn more about TechSoup and our corporate partners’ Rules and Eligibility in TechSoup Support.
1. Join TechSoup U.S. as a Member
You are required to provide the first and last name of the person representing your organization on TechSoup. Some of TechSoup’s corporate partners require the name of a contact for each recipient organization before they will allow a request to be processed and fulfilled. Due to these requirements, TechSoup cannot accept generic member names; for example, “your organization’s name”, “IT Dept”, or “Executive Director”.
We encourage individuals use a work email address for their member account; for example, me@organization-name.org. Using a work email address may allow TechSoup to independently verify the individual is authorized to represent your organization.
Your organization is welcome to have as many representatives as it requires. We recommend waiting to add additional representatives until after your organization is qualified.
2. Confirm Your Email Address
When joining TechSoup or updating the login email address for your TechSoup account members are required to confirm ownership of their email address.
After successfully joining TechSoup, you should have received an email from no-reply@techsoup[.org], titled “Email Confirmation Required,” containing a link to activate your account. Be sure to check your inbox and spam folders.
