TechSoup defines your annual operating budget as the yearly cost for your organization to operate. This includes all expenditures made by your organization, of any kind, for any purpose, whether they be grants paid, compensation of employees or contractors, pension plans and employee benefits, taxes, building occupancy, telecommunications, travel, conferences, and meetings, etc.
Your organization’s annual operating budget corresponds to your Total Expenses shown on your most recent IRS tax filing. On Form 990 that is line 18; on Form 990-EZ line 17; and on Form 990-PF line 24.
Please note, if your organization has added branch locations on TechSoup, each should reflect that branch’s annual operating budget. Learn more about adding branch locations to your TechSoup U.S. account.
