Authorization Holds: Processing Time and Multiple Charges

Once payment is provided a pending authorization hold will appear on the payment method's statement.  The authorization hold ensures the payment is available before the charge is fully processed, and may look like a charge on some statements.   The authorization hold may appear to be multiple charges on a statement, but the payment method will only be charged once. Authorization holds are usually removed within five business days from when the request is fulfilled or canceled, but this may vary depending on your financial institution's policies.

If the pending request is canceled, the authorization hold will be removed within five business days.
