Overview
When joining TechSoup, you will first create a member account with your individual information. After your member account is created you will then add an organization and provide the organization's information. A member's TechSoup account and an organization's TechSoup account are separate, but associate.

Email Address Not Recognized at Login
Your login email address may be different then the organization email listed in your. The organization email is a separate contact TechSoup uses to send fulfillment information, renewal reminders, billing notifications, etc. Additionally, receiving marketing emails does not indicate that email address has been used for a TechSoup account. You can opt in to receive marketing emails without joining TechSoup.
Check your inbox and spam folders for a "Welcome to TechSoup" email from TechSoup. This is the confirmation email you would have received after successfully joining as a member.

Create a new member account and then use the association code to re-add your organization to your TechSoup account.
Password Troubleshooting
If you forgot your password, you can request a temporary password at anytime.
Choose "Forgot Your Password?" when logging into TechSoup.
Your organization's association code is not the password for your TechSoup account.

Your temporary password email will have the subject “Your TechSoup Member Password Has Been Reset.”

Using your temporary password
A temporary eight-character password will be sent to your email address, which you will use to log in.
Copy and paste the temporary password exactly as it is shown in the email sent to you. Avoid including any blank spaces before or after the eight-digit temporary password.
If you requested multiple temporary passwords, make sure you are using the most recently sent one.
Change your password once you’re able to login
Once you’ve logged in using the temporary password, change your password in your TechSoup account.
You can find Your Account by clicking the icon shaped like a person in the top right corner of your screen, then click Change Password.
After you save your new password you will be automatically logged out. When you log back in you may be sent back to the Change Your Password page since that was the last page you were on before being logged out. You can safely leave the Change Your Password page, as your password has already been successfully updated.
Password Requirements:
The password for your TechSoup account must meet the following requirements:
- At least eight characters
- At least one uppercase letter
- At least one lowercase letter
- At least one number
- Doesn't include spaces, <, >, /, &, or #
Locked Out of Your TechSoup Account
If the wrong password is entered too many times, your account will be locked to protect you and your organization.
Wait 48 hours for your account to automatically unlock or request a temporary password to unlock your account.
Unable to Login and No Longer Have Access to Your Email Address' Inbox
For security reasons, TechSoup accounts are strictly tied to email addresses. Additionally, TechSoup Customer Service cannot update your email address or password on your behalf.
If your log in email address no longer exists or you no longer have access to your inbox, you will need to create a new account. Once created, you will then need to add your organization to your new TechSoup account.

Visual Guide: How to Update Your Password
1. Log into your TechSoup account. You can also find Your Account by clicking the icon shaped like a person in the top right corner of your screen.
2. Select "Change Password".
3. Update the information and select Save.
4. You will be automatically logged out and prompted to log back in using your new password.
