Overview
In order to represent your organization on TechSoup, sign up as a member and then add your organization to your account to your account
Please note, the association code is used to add an organization to your TechSoup account. It is not used as a password or validation token.
Signing up as a member.
When signing up for TechSoup you will be asked to provide a first and last name. For security purposes we cannot accept generic member names (e.g. IT Dept, your organization’s name). Additionally, some offer providers require the name of a contact for each recipient organization.
If available, we recommend signing up with a work email address with a valid domain (e.g. a TechSoup representative would use example@techsoup.org).
You’ll be asked for an association code.
Before adding your organization to your TechSoup account, we ensure that representatives are verified before they can act on behalf of their organization.
You’ll be asked to provide an association code to verify you are authorized to represent your organization on TechSoup.
Finding the association code.
Active representatives (also referred to as authorized agents) should be listed on the page prompting you to enter an association code.

Can’t find your association code?
If you can’t retrieve your organization’s association code, please contact TechSoup Customer Service and have one of the following documents ready to provide via Live Chat. This document will be used to verify you as a representative.
Please keep in mind:
- Your name does not have to be listed on the provided document.
- We do not accept state tax documents. Only federal tax documents will be accepted.
- For IRS documents, we do not accept files in Microsoft Word format (.doc, .docx).
- We do not accept documents submitted to the IRS, including Form 990 and W-2s.
- We do not accept publicly available documents.
501(c)(3) Determination Letter
Your organization’s or parent organization’s 501(c)(3) determination letter, sent by mail to your organization or parent organization from the IRS.
If you do not have your original determination letter, you may request an affirmation letter from the IRS by following these instructions or calling 877-829-5500.
Group Exemption Letter
We also accept Group Exemption Letters, which are provided by a parent group or denomination to their subordinate organizations or places of worship that are covered under their group exemption status with the IRS.
This letter should be from an officer of your parent organization or denomination and crafted on their official letterhead.
Contact your parent organization or denomination if you do not have a copy of your Group Exemption Letter on file.
