Hours of Operation
The hours of operation are listed at the top of the window once you have opened the window.
When is Live Chat is Typically Available?
- Monday through Thursday from 7 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. Pacific

Friday from 7 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. Pacific
- Due to unprecedented demand for our services in 2025, and our lean resources, TechSoup may consider closing our Live Chat on Fridays to ensure our customer service team can respond to pending inquiries from all contact channels. We apologize for any inconvenience this may cause, and are assessing our workforce to workload ratios each day until we are stabilized.
These hours are subject to change based on holidays and other factors.
Where to Confirm Hours of Operation
Find our weekly Live Chat hours by clicking the at the bottom right corner of your browser window. The hours will be located at the top of the pop up window. TechSoup will update the hours listed here to reflect any upcoming changes to the typical Live Chat hours.
Live Chat Closures
Second & Last Thursdays of the Month
On the second and last Thursdays of the month, Live Chat will open at 9 a.m. Pacific, instead of 7 a.m. Pacific.

TechSoup and our Live Chat will be closed on the following dates:

Thursday - April 10, 2025 ( Live Chat Maintenance )
- Closed during the morning, will reopen by 12p.m. Pacific.
- Monday - May 26, 2025 ( Memorial Day )
- Thursday - June 19, 2025 ( Juneteenth )
How to Access Live Chat
Connect with one of our TechSoup Customer Service representatives using our Live Chat feature. You will be connected with a person, we do not use a Chat bot or AI to work with our members.

1. To see
at the bottom right corner of your browser window, you must "Accept" all cookies when the prompt appears at the bottom of the screen when arriving at www.techsoup.org or support.techsoup.org.
Select your web browser for instructions on how to enable cookies in that specific browser:

3. You will be connected to with TechSoup Support Virtual Assistant. This AI ChatBot will allow you to search for answers to your questions.
4. Enter one of the following terms or phrases to connect to a TechSoup Representative:

5. Enter your information into the required fields, then click "Connect with Agent".
6. When you have joined the queue to connect with TechSoup Customer Service, you will receive:

A message letting you know that TechSoup Customer Service is not able to provide IT or in depth product support, and point you to TechSoup Services that may meet your support needs.

7. While waiting in the queue, you may receive automated messages. This is done to ensure your browser window does not time out, removing you from the queue, and to provide information that may be useful while you wait.
Please note, TechSoup Customer Service has been experiencing high volumes of contacts which has lead to long wait times in the Live Chat queue.
