Overview

TechSoup Validation Tokens are unique codes that enable organizations that have been validated by TechSoup to obtain nonprofit offerings from some of our corporate partners.  Validation tokens are not needed to request products from the TechSoup catalog or TechSoup Plus catalog.

How to Create a Validation Token

In your TechSoup account, first confirm your organization's detail are current, then select Validation Token to start the process of creating a validation token.

Unable to Create or Use a Validation Token

Organization may receive the following error message or experience other issues when trying to create or use their TechSoup Validation token.

Is Your Organization Eligible for the Nonprofit Program or Offer?

Before attempting to create a TechSoup validation token, first confirm your organization has a qualified TechSoup account: your qualification status is listed next to your organization's name in your account. Learn more about locating and understanding your qualification status. 

After your organization is qualified, check your organization's eligibility to see which programs are available to your organization and review each nonprofits programs’ eligibility requirements and restrictions.

Offer providers set their own eligibility requirements to ensure that they meet their philanthropic goals. Eligibility may be based on an organization’s mission and activities, annual operating expenses, size, etc.  Eligibility is not a reflection of a provider’s views or opinions; it is a tool used to focus resources on certain areas of the nonprofit sector that meet their philanthropic goals.  Learn more about TechSoup and our corporate partners' eigibility restrictions and requirements for our nonprofit programs.

Contact TechSoup Customer Service if you have questions about your organization's qualification status or eligibility. 

Does the Validation Token Include an @ Symbol?

Your TechSoup validation token should look like this: [combination and numbers and letters]@[combination and numbers and letters] -- (example: ###a#aa###@####).

If your validation token does not include an @ symbol then our system is most likely not generating the code in the correct format.  When this occurs, contact TechSoup Customer Service so we can provide a valid token.

Has Your Validation Token Expired?

Organizations can create as many TechSoup validation tokens as they require to move forward with our corporate partners' nonprofit programs.  

If your validation has expired, go back to the Validation Token page in your TechSoup account and refresh your token.
