Terms of Use for Most Nonprofit Offers Acquired Through TechSoup
TechSoup connects special offers from corporate partners with validated recipient organizations and is, therefore, not a software reseller.
In coordination with our offer providers’ guidelines, most products and services obtained through TechSoup must only be used by the requesting organization and may not be given or sold to other organizations or individuals — even as part of a charitable or fiscally sponsored program.
- For groups with both nonprofit and for-profit organizations in their legal structure, products and services are permitted for use only by those directly participating in the 501(c)(3) nonprofit mission and activities.
- For organizations whose mission is to support another nonprofit or library, such as "Friends of" groups, products and services are permitted for use only by the organization who owns the TechSoup account. The organization being support will have to join TechSoup separately to receive their own nonprofit offers through TechSoup and our corporate partners' nonprofit programs.
NOTE: Check the "Rules, Eligibility and Restrictions" tab in the offer's details on the TechSoup product page to view any additional terms of use for that particular product or service. There are a few offers for which this policy does not apply. Please check the offer’s details to ensure that you are adhering to the providers’ policies.
Branches or Offices Located Outside of the United States
Organizations with branches or offices outside of the U.S. may not transfer products or services to a non-U.S. branch or office for full-time use. Instead, branches or offices located outside of the U.S. must request offers from the TechSoup Global Network partner in that country.
Find TechSoup in the country or region where your branch or office is incorporated.
