Can we donate, give, or sell products we get through TechSoup to other organizations or people outside our organization?

TechSoup connects special offers from corporate partners with validated recipient organizations and is, therefore, not a software reseller.

In coordination with our offer providers’ guidelines, most products and services obtained through TechSoup must only be used by the requesting organization and may not be given or sold to other organizations or individuals — even as part of a charitable or fiscally sponsored program.

For groups with both nonprofit and for-profit organizations in their legal structure, products and services are permitted for use only by those directly participating in the 501(c)(3) nonprofit mission and activities.

Please note: There are a few offers for which this policy does not apply. Please check the offer’s details to ensure that you are adhering to the providers’ policies.

Organizations with branches or offices outside of the U.S. may not transfer products or services to a non-U.S. branch or office for full-time use.  Branches or offices outside of the U.S. must request offers from the TechSoup Global Network partner in that country.  Learn more about this policy in the TechSoup Support article: Can I request offers for our offices and staff located outside the U.S.?
