When you place a request, we issue an "authorization hold" while we process the request. An authorization hold is the practice within the banking industry of ensuring there are funds available while a transaction is being settled. If you accidentally clicked to submit your payment multiple times, you may see several authorization holds.
Once the request is processed, the authorization hold is released and replaced by the normal charge for your request.
Sometimes banking institutions can take a few business days to release the authorization hold from their system. This can result in financial statements showing what appear to be multiple charges for one request.
