A password, an association code, and a validation token are not the same and are used for different purposes.
Password
Your password is used to log in to your TechSoup account. Password requirements are:
- At least eight characters
- At least one uppercase letter
- At least one lowercase letter
- At least one number
- Doesn't include spaces, <, >, /, &, or #

Association Code
After an organization is added to TechSoup, an association code is an unique code used by new representatives to verify they are authorized to represent an organization on TechSoup. This is a security measure to ensures only representatives authorized to represent an organization can access that organization on TechSoup. Once an association code is successfully used to add an organization, the representative is referred to as an authorized agent.
To secure your account, you may want to update your association code after removing a representative from your organization on TechSoup.

Validation Token
TechSoup Validation Tokens are unique codes used by nonprofits that have been validated by TechSoup to get offers directly from donors outside of TechSoup.org. Validation tokens are not needed to request donated products from the TechSoup catalog.
