How are Organizations' Types and Sub Types Determined?
When qualifying or validating your organization, TechSoup reviews your organization's information. Once qualified or validated, TechSoup may conduct audits to confirm your organization's information is still accurate.
Organization types are based on reviewing your organization's mission, vision, activities, departments, and programs. Your organization's type cannot be based on an individual department or program's activities.
If your organization's information is not publicly available, TechSoup may request a letter of clarification to confirm your organization's type and sub type.
Multiple Branches or Locations
Does your organization have multiple locations or branches? Each location could be eligible to join TechSoup, with their own eligibility and own quantity allotment. Learn more about adding multiple locations or branches to TechSoup.
Programs of Nonprofits
Since programs of nonprofit organizations do not carry their own 501(c)(3) status, they typically are not eligible for their own TechSoup account, with their own eligibility. You are welcome to add your program and TechSoup will confirm its eligibility during the qualification review.

Eligibility determinations might be subject to review by TechSoup auditors or as a result of a member appeal. All reviews prompted by member appeals are final.
