Overview
The Microsoft for Nonprofits program includes two ways for your organization to access newer versions of Windows:
- Windows Operating System Upgrade
- Windows Pro Full Operating System
Review and request the available Desktop Microsoft Operating Systems for Nonprofits from the TechSoup catalog. Confirm the Current Versions of Microsoft Products available through TechSoup before checking out.

Windows Operating System Upgrade
Windows Operating System Upgrade offers provide an upgrade to Windows 11 Enterprise LTSC 2024 from the following operating systems:
- Windows 10 Pro
- Windows 8 Enterprise or Pro
- Windows 7 Enterprise, Professional, or Ultimate
- Windows Vista Enterprise, Business, or Ultimate
- Windows XP Professional or Tablet PC
- Windows 2000 Professional
- Windows NT Workstation 4.0
- Windows 98 SE
NOTE: For Windows Home Edition, you can only use a Windows Pro Full Operating System offer to replace that operating system.
Windows Pro Full Operating System
Windows Pro Full Operating System offers provide the full version of Windows 11 Pro. To use these offers, your computer must already have some kind of operating system previously installed. However, it does not need to be a licensed Windows operating system.
Please note, installing Windows Pro Full Operating System will replace the computer’s existing operating system. Replacing an operating system is more complicated than upgrading an operating system.
