Donated vs Discounted
Donated
Donated on-premises products are provided as a donation from Microsoft, but you pay TechSoup a small administrative fee when you request them. This fee helps support all programs for nonprofits and libraries.
Donated "Computer Labs Only" products are available for use on computer labs, that are accessed by an organization's beneficiaries or the general public. They are not allowed to be installed on an employee or volunteer's computer to support the organization's operations. Learn more about "Computer Labs Only" products.
Discounted
Discounted on-premises products cost a bit more compared to the donated products, but they still represent a savings of up to 75 percent compared to retail pricing. You may request unlimited quantities of these licenses through TechSoup.
Discounted products can be requested with or without Software Assurance benefits. For more information about Software Assurance benefits check out Software Assurance Benefits Included with Microsoft Products and How to Use or Renew Your Software Assurance Benefits.
Quantity Allotment

Office Standard vs. Office Professional Plus
Office Standard and Office for Mac are available in our catalog at donation rates for up to 50 licenses. If you need more than 50 licenses, they can also be found in our catalog at discounted rates with no quantity limits.
Office Professional Plus is only available at a discounted rate with a minimum request of five licenses. If the five-license minimum is more than you need, you may find everything you need by requesting Office Standard licenses and additional individual applications separately.
Please note, Access and Skype for Business will not function with Office for Mac. This is why Office Professional Plus is not available for Mac computers.
