Below are the most common error messages organizations may see when checking out with Microsoft Cloud licenses in Cloud Manager.
1. “The domain is already used by another Tenant. In order to proceed authorization is required or another domain needs to be defined.”
This error indicates the .onmicrosoft.com domain provided has not authorized TechSoup as a partner in the Microsoft 365 Admin Center yet. This is a required step.
How to Authorize TechSoup as Your Provider
Complete this authorization by visiting the Partner Relationships page in your Microsoft 365 Admin Center.
You’ll need an account global administrator’s login to see this Partner Relationships page. The person who registered your organization on Microsoft for Nonprofits is, by default, a global administrator.
You can also find the Partner Relationships page by visiting your Microsoft 365 Admin Center and, in the menu on the left of the page, choosing Show All > Settings > Partner relationships. On that page you’ll see all of the partners you have authorized as providers.
Once you successfully authorize TechSoup as a partner, you should be able to proceed with checkout.
2. "(Subscription name) cannot be purchased because (organization name) is not qualified for this product”
This often occurs when the .onmicrosoft.com domain your organization provided has not been validated for Microsoft for Nonprofits.
- Make sure you are entering the Microsoft account domain exactly as it was created.
- Make sure your organization and account domain have been validated at nonprofit.microsoft.com.
If your organization has already been validated for Microsoft Nonprofit offers and you accidentally entered the incorrect .onmicrosoft.com domain, contact us through Live Chat or by submitting a support ticket and we will sync your account with the correct domain.
