Organization types are based on your organization as a whole and cannot be based on individual programs, departments, projects or activities. Your organization may be classified as:
- Organization type: Health Services and Related Activities
- Organization subtype: Pregnancy Center
Organizations are classified as pregnancy centers if they provide:
- Educational and counseling services related to conception, delivery, and care of infants
- Social services related to women and family health
- Healthcare services such as pregnancy tests, STI testing, and ultrasounds
Pregnancy centers, crisis pregnancy centers, or pregnancy resource centers cannot be classified as reproductive healthcare organizations because they do not provide a full range of healthcare and gynecological services for women facing both planned and unplanned pregnancies. They also cannot be classified as a social service or advocacy organization because their services and activities are related to health.
