Overview
To qualify your organization or provide support for an issue with a donated or discounted offer, TechSoup may request documentation, screenshots, etc. to assist you.
Providing Files in TechSoup's Live Chat Support
Providing files over like TechSoup Customer Service's Live Chat is the recommended method, since we are typically able to load the attachment without issue.
Learn how to contact TechSoup Customer Service via Live Chat, by reviewing the following all of the instructions in the TechSoup Support articles: How do I contact TechSoup Customer Service? and Unable to access TechSoup Customer Service’s Live Chat?
Emailing Files to TechSoup
Please keep the following in mind when sending TechSoup a file by email:
-
Use a computer instead of a mobile device to send the attachment. Some mail apps automatically embedded the attachment in the email's message and TechSoup's systems cannot load files that are embedded.
-
On your computer, use the option to attach the file ( the button usually looks like a paper clip ) instead of dragging the file into your email. This will help prevent your file from being embedded in your email's message, which we cannot load.
-
Use common file types like .JPEG, .PDF, .PNG, or .DOC/.DOCX.
-
TechSoup can not load HEIF (High Efficiency) files from Apple devices. To capture photos on your Apple device in JPEG format, go to Settings > Camera > Formats and choose Most Compatible.
- Using an AOL email address? If possible, we recommend using a different email address or the Live Chat to send TechSoup your file. TechSoup's systems occasionally have problems opening emails from AOL accounts.
