Not eligible for an offer or program? We encourage you to find other offers in the TechSoup catalog or see what offers your organization is eligible for with the Eligibility Quiz.
Contact TechSoup Customer Service if you have additional questions about your organization's eligibility.
Validation vs Eligibility
Organizations are validated by TechSoup as 501(c)(3) Public Charities or public libraries. While all validated organizations are eligible for at least some offers, not every organization meets the eligibility criteria of every provider
Offer providers rely on TechSoup to verify that participating organizations meet eligibility criteria in order to take advantage of technology solutions offered. This includes a rigorous review of each organization to validate its legal status and verify that its mission, primary activities, and other details align with the eligibility criteria for specific offers.
Add an Organization
After you join TechSoup as a member, you are prompted to add an organization to your account. If you have not added an organization, you will not be able to check out. The nonprofit offers on TechSoup are available to eligible 501(c)(3) Public Charities and public libraries. We do not currently offer a nonprofit program for individuals looking to request donated and discounted offers.

Organization Type
An organization type is broken down into an Organization Type and Sub-Type. When an organization is not eligible for an offer, it can be due to the Organization Type or Sub-Type.
Your organization type is determined by your organization's mission, activities, services, and vision. TechSoup's determinations are based on the organization as a whole, not an individual department, program, or initiative.
Organization types are subject to review and providers may change which organization types are eligible. Previously being eligible does not guarantee future eligibility.
Quantity
Individual offers and programs may have quantity requirements or allotments. Some requirements or allotments examples:
- Limit the number of offers an organization can request per fiscal year (July 1st - June 30th)
- Limit the number of offers an organization can request per its lifetime.
- Require a minimum number of offers in the cart to check out.
Check your Request History to confirm what your organization has requested in the past. Adjust the date range to see your organization's entire request history with TechSoup.
Budget
Individual offers and programs may have budget minimum requirements or limits.
TechSoup defines your annual operating budget as the yearly cost for your organization to operate. Your organization’s annual operating budget corresponds to your Total Expenses shown on your most recent IRS tax filing. On Form 990 that is line 18; on Form 990-EZ line 17; and on Form 990-PF line 24.
Please note: If your organization has independent branch locations on TechSoup, each should reflect that branch’s annual operating budget.
